    Sooltaal structure

    Sooltaal (also written Sool Taal or Sultal) has 10 matras grouped into vibhags of 2, 2, 2, 2, 2. A ten-matra taal in five vibhags of two, from the dhrupad and pakhawaj tradition. A theka is the bol pattern played over the cycle.

    Sam, tali, and khali
