    Dhamar structure

    Dhamar (also written Dhamaar or Dhamar Tal) has 14 matras grouped into vibhags of 5, 2, 3, 4. A fourteen-matra taal with an uneven 5+2+3+4 split, linked to the dhrupad and hori tradition. A theka is the bol pattern played over the cycle.
